a-b: Matching pair of fraternal regalia war clubs used by members of The Improved Order of Red Men; made in two sections and screwed together, turned handles and bulb-shaped heads; each stained red with four yellow-stained and turned spikes (inset).

One of a pair of war clubs, they were obtained from the Improved Order of Red Men lodge in Belfast, Maine, probably from the Tarratine Tribe No. 13 in Belfast, which was organized in 1903.
