Subject has a mustache and wears a dark coat and trousers with white shirt and light-colored gloves. He wears a dark chapeau-de-bras with white plumes. He has a Knights Templar badge pinned to his coat. He wears a white sash with black borders and a dark sword belt with sword. The maker's name is in one corner, "Fresonius." The photograph is applied to a piece of brown paper.
