Masonic York Rite Royal Arch George A. Gardner and George A. Brown. OBVERSE: Black and white photograph adhered to mat board backing features two mustachioed men, George A. Gardner and George A. Brown.* Man on PR is standing and holding a baton; he is wearing a dark suit and dark leather shoes, a white shirt and bow tie, a collar and jewel, a badge, and an apron. Man on PL is sitting in a wooden chair, and holding a scroll; he also wears a dark suit and dark leather shoes, a white shirt and bow tie, a collar and jewel, a badge, and an apron. Outside of photo, an off-white 1/2" border, surrounded by the rest of the mat board which is tan and has a decorative ridge about 1/2" away all around outside of off-white area. Across lower edge of mat board, the stamped silver text, "Elmer Chickering" (PR end, in cursive, with a decorative line below it), "THE BRUNSWICK" (upper center, with decorative flourishes at either end), an image of a crown (at lower center), and "21 WEST ST. / BOSTON." (PL end, with decorative flourishes surrounding). Beveled outer edge of mat board coated with silver paint.
