He was also a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Mt. Joy Lodge No. 277 in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. Around 1890, Buller was a blacksmith in Mount Joy. He later became the superintendent of the State Fish Hatchery at Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. The Knights of the Golden Eagle are a Christian semi-military beneficiary group for men based on the pageantry of the Crusaders and their motto is "Fidelity, Valor, and Honor." John E.
