Wicker doll carriage has spoked wheels; cotton lining with lace edging; wood plank bottom.
In the late 1800s and early 1900s, children played with toys that trained them for their future jobs as adults. Girls’ toys replicated their mothers’ work of raising children and making a home. Helen Hunt Learned (b. 1878) of Arlington, Massachusetts, transported her dolls in this stylish wicker carriage.
