Mounted on white card. Double image of a bearded man wearing a wide-brimmed hat seated in a small row boat. Two women stand in the boat, with another woman seated on the edge. Four other woman stand waist-deep in the water around the boat. A tree-lined shore can be seen in the background. Stamped in black on the edges of the card "Littleton View Co. Publishers / Littleton, N.H." and "Sold only by Underwood & Underwood / New York, London, Toronto-Canada, Ottawa-Kansas." Stamped in black at the bottom "Copyright, 1893, by Littleton View Co." Stamped in black on the back of the card is the title "The Boatman Somewhat Rattled" translated into English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish, and Russian.
