Masonic York Rite Knights Templar Triennial Conclave Pin and Box. a: OBVERSE: Gold-colored metal pin has black, red, and white enamel and features mountain scene inside circle laid over cross shape. Circle in center, inlaid with black enamel, bears raised text, "TWENTYFIFTH TRIENNIAL CONCLAVE", in gold around its edge. Inside circle, gold banner over mountains bears the words, "Grand Encampment" in black enamel. Mountains inlaid with black enamel contours and white enamel cross. At base of mountain scene, intersecting black outer circle, is large white enamelled "C": along its PR contours is "GRAND COMMANDERY / K.T. / COLORADO", and inside it is the cross of life with radiating rays; cross inlaid with red enamel and crown decorated with small squares of black enamel. From behind circle, contours of large Salem cross are visible, with various black-enamelled crosses in its outermost points (clockwise from top, a Salem cross, a passion cross, a Templar cross, and a patriarchal cross); from behind large Salem cross, outer edges of black-enamelled Templar cross are visible, featuring the gold-colored text, "18 / 92; U. / S.; DENVER / COLO.; K. / T." arranged clockwise from top. Outer edges of Templar cross feature carved texture. a: REVERSE: Hinged gold-colored pin with loop at bottom to hold in place. Stamped into center of plain, textured back is text, "[circle shape] / MAKER / C. F. IRONS / PROVIDENCE.R.I. / PAT. MAY 3.1892" [lots of space, then another circle shape]. Soldering metal visible under pin loop at bottom. b: OUTSIDE: Square brown box with wear at edges. Text in black ink on top reads, "Triennial Committee Knights Templar. / [decorative diamond symbol] / Masonic Temple Denver, Colorado. / April 6, 1892. / This Certifies, that the design furnished / by C. F. Irons, of Providence, R. I., (copy here- / with), has been adopted by the Badge Committee, / and approved by the Triennial Committee as the / official badge of the Twenty-fifth Triennial Con- / clave of the Grand Encampment of the U. S., to / be held in Denver, Colorado, August 9th, 1892. / Copy of Badge [signature of Wm. (?) D. Todd] / Chairman Badge Committee / Approved / [illegible signature] / Chairman Triennial Committee". To PR of text is a picture of the badge in black ink. b: INSIDE: White paper lining, white fabric hinge, smaller box inset into bottom which forms an inner lip around top. In center of lid is the text, "FROM [with decorative squiggles on either side] / CHAS. F. IRONS, / Manufacturer of / EMBLEMS, / 102 Friendship St., / PROVIDENCE, R. I.". c: Purple velvet-covered insert has white paper backing and two slits cut into it for displaying items.
