Lantern slide in color. Image shows a scene from the poem "The Spectre Pig" by Oliver Wendell Holmes. The image shows a pig being drawn up with a rope by its hind legs by two men. The pig's throat is slit and gushing blood. A man (the butcher) with a knife and his son are in the background. A clock tower is pictured in the background. A label printed in black is applied to one end of the slide and reads, "2. And, like a mighty pendulum, All solemnly he swung!" "Economic Series" is printed in silver lettering on black frame on other side of slide.
