Collar, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, No. 373. OBVERSE: Off-white velvet (likely cotton) collar features embroidered red text (likely silk), "№", on PR side and "373" on PL side, each of which has an embroidered red star above (smaller) and below (larger). Front flaps of collar are rounded along inner edges and pointed at outer ends. Trim of mauve-colored, textured ribbon (likely silk) rims inner and outer edges. Three-link IOOF chain of silver-colored metal joins flaps, with small sewn-on o-rings securing chain ends to fabric. REVERSE: Red, possibly waxed, cotton lining sewn on with off-white thread. At seam where two sides of collar join, rectangular manufacturer label is sewn on: off-white fabric with red embroidery, likely silk, it features two griffins flanking a shield with two fleur-de-lis symbols on it, a crown above, and "Sans Pareil" on a diagonal banner across center; below, "The HENDERSON-AMES Co. / KALAMAZOO, MICH." is inside a decoratively shaped outline.
