Dark blue glaze in single strip along rim and in three (3) strips along handle; vessel slightly narrows at lip, and widens at base. On one side, in blue glaze (except for the large "H", which is brown and blue), it reads, "HARMONIE / LODGE / F & A. M."; a square and compasses with a "G" in the center is above it. The large brown "H" is within a decorative circle and is more stylized than the other letters. On bottom of stein is maker's mark in brown: "BUFFALO / [image of a buffalo] / POTTERY".
