33rd Degree Collar Belonging to Marquis F. King. OBVERSE: Off-white washed grosgrain silk collar composed of four panels sewn together in shape of diamond. Embroidered on face along either side, starting just above seam where upper panels are joined to lower ones, are the following designs: on PR side, from top to bottom, a double-headed eagle made up of layered gold-colored metal sequins and gold bullion has a gold bullion and red thread crown atop it and a branch in either mouth embroidered in green, brown, and red thread; clutched in its talons is a banner in red thread with gold sequins and bullion surrounding it, and the embroidered black text, "DEUS MEUMQUE JUS" on its three sections; below this are radiating rays in gold bullion coming from the central delta design, with a gold and silver bullion sword that has three round red gems (likely paste) at the end of either side of crossguard and at top of handle, at their center. On PL side, from top to bottom, a pair of crossed American flags in gold bullion and red and blue thread have a gold bullion crown atop them; below them is the same design of radiating rays and sword as on the other side. At bottom center there is a delta formed of 27 round, colorless gems (likely paste) trimmed with bullion, and a large "33" in the middle embroidered in red thread. Radiating rays below delta. Hanging via a round metal eyelet from front tip of collar is a cast, gold-colored metal pendant in the shape of a double-headed eagle with a crown atop it and a sword clutched in its talons. All along edges of either side is a wavy line of gold metal sequins sewn with bullion along the center. REVERSE: Plain off-white silk. One complete pair, and one incomplete pair (that is missing hook), of gold-colored metal hook-and-eye closures at either end of collar, to fasten behind neck.
