OBVERSE: Plate of white porcelain features central design of a painted scene in white, brown, green, blue, pink, and peach tones; it depicts a woman standing in a white gown with a brown pitcher over one arm, pink flowers within the folds of her gown, and a braid in her hair; the corner of a sculpture or fountain, in brown, with a grey lion that has a stream of water coming out of its mouth, frames the scene on the PL side. Along lower PR edge of central image is the stamped gold text, "THE BROKEN PITCHER"; along lower PL edge, partially obscured by paint on rim, "GREUZE". Plate has rim that curves up gently from center and scalloped edges with a texture of raised dots and curving lines decorating it. 1-3/8"-wide band along rim is painted with metallic gold paint which has a texture (possibly stamped) of repeating circles and decorative flourishes all around it. Along lower PR edge of central image, the stamped gold text, "THE BROKEN PITCHER"; along lower PL edge, partially obscured by paint on rim, "GREUZE". REVERSE: Within circular depression at center of plate, printed in green, is the text: "1907 / PITTSBURGH / COMMANDERY / THE / NO. 1 [stylized bracket] 30TH [stylized bracket] K. T. / TRIENNIAL [in circular layout around bottom edge:] SARATOGA [top of flourish above manufacturer logo] NEW YORK".
