Shaving Mug of E. Price with Masonic Symbols. White porcelain mug has clear glaze, Masonic symbols painted on front, and gilt trim. Walls of mug are straight, angle out slightly from bottom to top, and flare outward at base and rim. Rim surrounded by wide gilt line on outside and thin one on inside; base features wide gilt line around it with thin one above. Handle is oval-shaped and features three formed points on its outside surface for gripping; outside surface and sides of handle decorated with lines of gilding, and there are two gilt teardrop shapes on either side where bottom of handle meets mug. Design on front of mug (directly opposite handle) features, at top, text in gilt calligraphy, "E. Price." Below this, between two gilt floral-like designs, is a grouping of Masonic imagery painted in various colors and outlined in black: in light yellow, two columns connected by an arch with a keystone shape at the top, within which is an all-seeing eye in blue and orange; under the arch, from top to bottom and PR to PL, a yellow five-point star, a blue anchor, an orange ladder, a yellow crescent moon, a serpent and staff (rod of Asclepius), 2 sheafs of paper that are turquoise-tinged and blue with writing on them, a yellow coffin, and a blue checkerboard floor. Bottom of mug recessed within flared lip of base.
