Masonic Order of Amaranth Esther Court No. 2 Member ribbon badge. Gold-tone rectangular pin with horizontal pin back. Front of pin has scrolling border with white center with black text "Member." Hanging from the pin by two chains is a gold-tone medallion with red center. In gold at the center is a wreath and Amaranth emblem of crown and sword. Hanging from the pin is a red ribbon stamped in gold "Esther / Court No. 2 / O. of A. / Newport News, VA." Applied along the bottom edge is gold bullion fringe. Hanging from the back is a black ribbon stamped in silver with the same text. The gold bullion fringe is also applied along the bottom edge on this side.


Ribbons and badges have long been ubiquitous at Masonic gatherings. These souvenirs identified participants and their affiliations, commemorated a range of different kinds of meetings, ceremonies, and galas, and were a clear way for members to declare support for their Masonic group.
