Plate, Modern Woodmen of America, Head Camp Buffalo 1911. OBVERSE: Cream-colored background with dark teal rim that fades to lighter shade towards center of plate; gilding along edge. In center of plate is image in brown of a buffalo on grass, clouds in the background. Circular seal on buffalo's side has the words, "MODERN WOODMEN / OF AMERICA" surrounding image of winged cherub/angel above shield bearing crossed ax and mallet with triangle; under shield is text, "PUR AUTRE VIE". Below buffalo are crossed ax and mallet with triangle above and between them and the words "HEAD CAMP" to PR and "BUFFALO 1911" to PL. REVERSE: Plain white with maker's mark in brown: "SEMI-VITREOUS / [image of a buffalo] / BUFFALO POTTERY". Underneath it are the words, "SOUVENIR / HEAD CAMP M.W.A. / HELD AT BUFFALO / JUNE 18TH TO 24TH / 1911."
