Light brown, varnished wood Independent Order of Odd Fellows gavel with carved head. Carved from wood taken from Lookout Mountain in Tennessee. One side of the head has a raised three-link chain symbol with the initials "FLT." Incised around the symbol is "Presented to Grant Lodge No. 335 / by H.W. Swank / Lookout Mtn. April 29 / 1914." The ends of the gavel have a serrated border. Round handle tapers where it is inserted into the head.
