Masonic Scottish Rite Consistory regalia for Orator (19th degree) and Cardinal (27th degree). Depicts full-length male figure wearing a long maroon robe with cut outs for the arms. Underneath this he wears long green sleeves. The robe extends into a hood that wears over his head and has a white collar and placket. He wears red shoes. He wears a round flat maroon hat and gold gloves. He holds one hand up in the air, bent at the elbow and makes a sign. The other hand is at his side. At bottom left is "[Wa]rren A. Newcomb 1916." Attached to the back is a typewritten piece of paper headed "C. 4. / XIX-4. Orator. / XXVII-2. Cardinal." This is followed by a description of the various costume elements and a note about sources for the costume.
