Past Master Jewel for S. Martin Jacobsen. a: OBVERSE: Gold pin bar with suspended jewel and two layers of purple silk ribbon cut in a V shape at ends. Gold pin bar, mostly cast, features decorative frame-like shape with semi-circle of tooled rays at top; within rectangular section at center, the raised text "PRUDENCE"; below that, in another rectangle, "204". Suspended from back of pin bar via two three-link chains with an o-ring at either end is another partly cast gold bar; it has a circle at the center flanked by flared decorative panels featuring tooled work at outer ends, with each portion bearing raised gold lettering: on circle, the overlapping, stylized initials "SMJ"; on PR flank, "19", and on PL flank, "21". Suspended from center of circle via two interlocking o-rings is a jewel of gold, mostly cast. It has stamped (likely) decorative, floral-motif flourishes trimming top and bottom, and a cast gold "G" at center top. Central, openwork circular portion features a design of compasses and quadrant arc with sun at center; sun has milky, translucent "moonstone" inset (probably plastic) carved with smiling face. This design sits atop a circular surround that has straight, raised inner and outer walls with tooled, rose- and yellow-gold leaves set within it in a wreath shape. a: REVERSE: Jewel features text carved around outer ring: "PRESENTED TO S MARTIN JACOBSEN BY PRUDENCE LODGE NO. 204 F. & A. M. / DEC. 21, 1921." On top and bottom portions, "14K" stamped into gold; on middle portion, illegible stamp at PR end. b: Black leather (possibly) case with four flaps, one of which has a pocket, and a purple velvet-lined (likely silk) interior panel. White cotton fill is coming out of lining where there is a rip. Grey-colored metal snap closure has black coating on front.

The owner of this jewel, S. Martin Jacobsen, was the Past Master of Prudence Lodge No. 204 which met in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
