Russell Lodge in Arlington, Massachusetts, received this apron—one of a set of fourteen for its officers—at its constitution, or founding, in 1924. A local apron manufacturer, Rose Lipp Regalia Company, active from 1890 to1930, made the set. Lipp earned recognition for “an extended reputation for the excellent quality of her productions.” In 1930, her company advertised that it was “equipped to execute with care and accuracy.” For further information, see Newell, Aimee E., "The Badge of a Freemason," 2015, p. 228-229; and blog post, December 13, 2011 http://nationalheritagemuseum.typepad.com/library_and_archives/2011/12/miss-rose-lipp-masonic-authority.html
