Masonic Scottish Rite Chicago Council Princes of Jerusalem Chapter Penny. OBVERSE: Circular metal coin, likely brass, with raised Masonic emblem in center (shield containing crossed trowel and sword; background with striped texture). Arrayed around emblem in circular pattern is raised text, "CHICAGO COUNCIL" and "PRINCES OF JERUSALEM", with two six-pointed stars between on either side. Raised lip around edge. Surface of metal worn. REVERSE: Bears raised Prince of Jerusalem emblem in center (diamond shape containing hand holding scales with sword and 5 stars between). Arrayed around emblem in circular pattern is raised text, "A. A. S. RITE" and "VALLEY OF CHICAGO" with two six-pointed stars between on either side. Raised lip around edge. Surface of metal worn.
