Masonic Shrine India Fez with Storage Pouch. a: EXTERIOR: Maroon wool fez with black silk (likely) tassel. Embroidered on front in yellow silk (likely) thread, "INDIA"; below this is a Shrine emblem (scimitar, double tiger claw and star with Sphinx head at center) embroidered with yellow, white, green, and red thread; Sphinx head is of cast gold-colored metal and star has a transparent red bead (possibly glass) at center. INTERIOR: Square white cotton manufacturer's label sewn to inside of fez bears a printed black image of two camels with men riding them, and a star with rays surrounding; below this, the text, "The Hefter Rieb Co. / 43-51 W. 4th. St. / New York". b: Black rectangular cotton (likely) drawstring pouch. Strings missing.
