Masonic National Sojourners Medal, "Heroes of 76". Gold-colored metal, rectangular pin bar backing has blue and yellow striped ribbon attached to it; there is a rectangular gold-colored metal bar with dark blue enamel infill in it and the gold text, "HEROES OF 76" across it. Ribbon gathered into gold metal o-ring at bottom, from which is suspended an oval medallion of cast gol-colored metal; raised design on its face is of square and compasses with banner at top reading "EX ORI ENTE LUX" and bar with rounded corners over lower front reading, "SOJOURNERS"; eagle with wings raised below with compass tips extending behind, and "NATIONAL" below. Surrounding and within design are 13 five-point stars; around raised edge of medallion are four decorative elements shaped like curling scroll ends. On reverse, illegible maker's mark stamped at bottom.
