Political campaign tirecover for Alfred M. Landon (1887-1987) for President and Robert L. Bacon (1884-1938) for Congress; dark brown with off-white lettering; eagles adjacent to text that reads "Landon / for / President / Robert L. / Bacon / for Congress / 1st N.Y. Congressional Dist."; coattail oilcloth spare tirecover; also displays union bug; wooden frame with glass.

Republican candidate Alfred M. Landon (1887-1987) took on the difficult task of running against incumbent Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882-1945) in the 1936 presidential election. This "banner" was intended as a cover for the spare tire on an automobile. It supports both presidential candidate Landon and New York Congressional candidate Robert L. Bacon (1884-1938) who won his contest that year.
