Masonic Grand Lodge of Massachusetts 50-Year Veteran Medal with Pocket Protector. a: Medal has rectangular, cast gold-colored metal pin bar at top with raised text, "VETERAN", and raised edge; suspended from pin bar is light blue grosgrain ribbon (likely synthetic); suspended from o-ring at bottom of ribbon is oval, cast gold-colored metal medallion. On its obverse, raised text "THE MOST WORSHIPFUL GRAND LODGE OF MASSACHUSETTS" around edge with "1733" at bottom; text surrounds central image of two beavers on either side of a shield with a knight and star, towers, and a compasses on it; above shield, a dove with an olive branch in its beak and "A. F. & A. M." above; below shield, a banner with "FOLLOW REASON" on it. On medallion reverse, raised text, "PRESENTED / TO / BROTHER / HOWARD E. [engraved] / CLARK, JR [engraved] / IN RECOGNITION / OF FIFTY YEARS / OF / FAITHFUL SERVICE / 1938-4-7 [engraved]". Raised edge. b: Black synthetic leather pocket protector is rectangular with flap sewn at top for attaching jewel.
