Masonic Shrine Aleppo Temple badge with horizontal pin back. Front of pin is shaped like a gold-tone machete. It has red lettering, "A.A.O.N.M.S." Hanging from the pin is a gold-tone and white tiger's claw with Sphinx head at center. Suspended from the center of the claw is a gold-tone five-point star and a gold-tone camel. Hanging down from the pin is a red grosgrain ribbon stamped in gold, "Aleppo / Medical Staff."

Ribbons and badges have long been ubiquitous at Masonic gatherings. These souvenirs identified participants and their affiliations, commemorated a range of different kinds of meetings, ceremonies, and galas, and were a clear way for members to declare support for their Masonic group.
