Masonic Shrine Jacket, Morocco Temple Patrol, Drum & Bugle Corps in Jacksonville, Florida. Satin bolero jacket, likely synthetic, is white with green trim and has machine-embroidered flowers, oranges, leaves, and swirls in red, orange, yellow, and green; yellow fringe (likely synthetic) at shoulders; at elbow of each sleeve, machine-embroidered "JACKSONVILLE [in black] / [shrine emblem of scimitar and crescent in yellow, white, and black] / FLORIDA [in black]". Inside, pocket on each side and white translucent plastic buttons with yellow knotted cord fastener hooked onto PL side; also connected to this side is paper tag with identifying information on it.
Many Shrine members participate in local temple marching bands. Distinctive uniform colors and symbols identify particular bands and help them to stand out at a parade. The ornamental embroidery on this jacket, comprised of bright oranges, green vines, and red flowers, alludes to the tropical location of the group that ordered it—the Morocco Temple Patrol, Drum & Bugle Corps of Jacksonville, Florida.
