Order of Eastern Star Vase. Off-white, clear-glazed stoneware vase is shaped like a 5-point star and features a hollowed-out opening, 7/8" wide and 5-3/4" long, that extends across the horizontal faces of the upper left and right star points, and through the topmost point except for at its tip. OBVERSE: Just within outlines of star shape, features Order of Eastern Star emblem (5-point star with altar and open bible in center; points, clockwise from top, feature the following: white background with crown and sceptre; green background with broken column; red background with chalice; blue background with sword and veil; yellow background with sheaf of barley). Backgrounds are of colored paint or glaze; imagery all raised and gilded; outlines of star shape, including pentagon formed around center, are gilded. REVERSE: Features a design that is the same as on the front but without imagery. BODY IN BETWEEN: Clear, shiny glaze everywhere but on outer bottoms of tips of lowermost stars.
