Masonic Shrine Syria Temple Ribbon Badge. Rectangular gold tone pin with horizontal pin back. Front of pin is open, with piece of white paper inserted, printed in black, "Syria." Hanging from pin is a red, yellow, green striped ribbon. Ribbon is stamped in gold, "Syria Temple / Pittsburg, PA. / The Largest / Shrine Temple in / North America / Atlantic / City / Pilgrimage / SEPT. 12-15 / 1946." Stamped in gold at top of ribbon is a Shrine symbol (Tiger's claw, scimitar, and star).

Since the mid-1800s, organizers of Masonic events have commissioned brightly colored ribbon badges to identify members of a group and to serve as a souvenir of a special occasion. This ribbon commemorates a Masonic pilgrimage to Atlantic City.
