Gold-tone miniature trowel. Engraved (or stamped), "Prince Hall / Masonic Pilgrimage / Boston - 1950." At the left of the text is a square and compass symbol with "G" in the center.

On August 13, 1950, members from African American Masonic groups across the country gathered in Boston, Massachusetts, to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the founding of African Lodge No. 459. The week-long celebration featured parades, dinners, and a pilgrimage to Prince Hall’s monument in Copp's Hill Burying Ground. Souvenirs, including this trowel, helped commemorate the event.
