Masonic Scottish Rite Dirty Third Degree Badge. Badge features three main parts: plastic upper portion for name tag, ribbon at middle, and metal ring with cowbell at bottom. Upper portion: clear, flexible plastic sleeve houses, at its top, a white, rectangular paper name tag which bears the black, typed text, "Most / Honorable / [underlined in red ink] JOHN W. McNAUGHTON - 33° / [underlined in red ink] Dirty Third Degree / [letters spaced out and underlined in red ink] LIAR / 1983"; stamped into plastic of top portion is the text, "IDENTA-KIT ® (LARGE) PATENT NOS. 3,216,135 & D-202-229"; its lower portion features opening along side, flap at top, and at bottom edge, the stamped text, "G. G. TAUBER CO. -MFRS.-ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND 20852". Middle portion: white, satin ribbon (likely synthetic fiber) is stapled to lower portion of plastic sleeve and bears text printed in blue ink, "DIRTY / THIRD / DEGREE / LIAR / [image of a bull with a ring through its nose] / [oriented vertically] G C S R C L C". Ribbon sewn around metal ring at bottom. Bottom portion: Gold-colored metal (likely brass) ring has square-shaped copper bell attached via a flat piece of copper looped around it. Bell has copper clapper inside.
