Founded in 1866, the Masonic Orphans Home & Infirmary in Louisville, Kentucky, is the oldest Masonic home in America. A second facility, called the Old Mason's Home, was founded in Shelbyville, Kentucky, in 1901. Freemasons collected coins in this box to support their Operation Craftsmen fund to support widows.
