Drawing of Jordan's Bunnyland Store showing a colorful bunny wheeling a cart full of Easter eggs towards the egg-shaped store. A sign outside the store reads, "JORDAN'S / BUNNYLAND / STORE."

"I never did amount to much of a draftsman," McFadden once declared. These skillfully executed drawings belie his words. In addition to designing sets for the Boston Stage Society, the Repertory Theater, the Wharf Players in Provincetown, and the Brattle Theater, McFadden produced automated displays for the Boston department stores Filene's and Jordan Marsh. He also found time to make mechanical devices that clowns used to delight audiences at the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
