Masonic Patch, Legion of Honor. OBVERSE: White shield-shaped patch composed of synthetic fiber, with metal and enamel badge applied to front. 1/8"-wide yellow thread border. Legion of Honor design embroidered at center: at top, "ribbons" crossing in a V shape striped with red, yellow, and green; below, a yellow scimitar; below this, a section (partially covered) of horizontal stripes of red, white, and green; and below this, an oval with section with a point at the bottom, a yellow border, and vertical red, white, and blue stripes within; "HONOR" is embroidered in yellow at center (presumably, "LEGION OF" above is covered by applied metal badge). Gold metal badge applied to patch (at level of scimitar) features scimitar at top (with two arms at the top which are bent at right angles towards the center, probably for a ribbon); a horizontal section of red, yellow, and green stripes; and a sphinx head and double tiger claws forming a circle with a point at its lower tip. In the center, "LEGION / OF / HONOR" in gold lettering with vertical enamel stripes infilling the background in red, white, and blue. REVERSE: Design from front visible; also, two irregular-shaped blobs of dark grey paper are adhered, one at top to PL of center, and the other at bottom center. At top, a short length of yellow thread border extends from PL corner of patch, with a small rectangle of tan masking tape attached to it.
