Masonic Apron Case Belonging to Emil Cruz. Leather apron case is black and square-shaped with two handles at top which are attached to either side via metal loops. "EMIL CRUZ" stamped in gold paint on front, centered near top. Zip closure around three sides. Inside lined with red satin (likely synthetic fiber); one side features two short black leather straps, arranged diagonally at either top side, with snaps to hold objects in place, and a rectangular black leather pocket sewn at center; other side features satin pocket with three black snaps spaced along top.


This item belonged to Emil Cruz. Cruz (1904–1983), born in the Philippines, emigrated to the United States in 1924 at the age of 19 and eventually worked as a jeweler. He was a member of Schiller Lodge No. 263 and Damascus Commandery No. 42, both located in Detroit.
