Masonic Scottish Rite 33rd Degree Jewel and Case. a: 14-karat gold jewel of the 33rd Degree; consists of a pin bar engraved "John H. Van Gorden" suspending a white silk ribbon with lap, from which is suspended the jewel of the Order in the form of a red-enamelled Teutonic Cross impaled with the insignia of the Order; reverse engraved "Presented/ to/ Ill./ John H. Van Gorden/ Binghamton, N.Y./ Otseningo Consistory, A.A.S.R./ Nor. Mas. Jur. USA/ September 25,/ 1957.". b: Orignal case; embossed on the interior "Dieges & Clust/ Manufacturing/ Specialty Jewelers" and "John H. Van Gorden, 33" on exterior.
