Gold-tone Masonic Scottish Rite Northern Masonic Jurisdiction Gourgas medal. Vertical pin back. Front is star-shaped with eight points and glory ray decoration. In the center is a profile of a man with a leafy wreath along the sides. Lettering around the center reads "For Notably Distinguished Service J.J.J. Gourgas." Lettering on the back reads "Presented / by the / Supreme Council 33º / A.A.S.R. - N.M.J. U.S.A." Banners below: "9-25-[19]63 / ILL. EDWARD W. WHEELLER 33° "
