Masonic Shrine New York Kazim Temple Badge for Orvin M. Miles. Gold-colored metal pin bar at top has arched top with raised text, "NEW YORK 1964" at top and an image of a building with trees below; below this, within rectangular window, a piece of white paper with "KAZIM TEMPLE / Orvin M. Miles" in black typewriter letters and a clear sheet of plastic over it. Suspended from pin bar is a double ribbon (likely synthetic fiber) with red, yellow, and green stripes: rear ribbon is longer and has zig-zag cut edge at bottom; front ribbon is shorter and gathered into the top loop of a rectangular gold-colored metal badge. Badge has raised text, "A.A.O.N.M.S / 90TH / IMPERIAL COUNCIL SESSION / JULY 21-24 / [image of bust of man in fez] 1964 / HAROLD C. CLOSE / IMPERIAL POTENTATE". Raised Shrine symbol below with red and white enamel infill. Decorative vine-like border around bottom edge of badge. Piece of tape wrapped around PL edge of pin bar. On reverse, hinged pin bar at top, and a patent number stamped underneath it. Ribbon held in place with two silver metal tabs.
