Along with different kinds of marching groups, some Shrine Temples organized groups that rode horses. These Horse Patrol Units, some of which are still active, were composed of Shriners with a special interest in horsemanship. The units participated in a variety of events such as parades and mounted drill competitions. Some also organized horse shows with the goal of raising money for the Shrine Hospitals for Children. This poster advertises a sharp Western-style uniform created by a Masonic regalia company specifically for Horse Patrol Units.
