Masonic York Rite Knights Templar Lighted Cross and Crown Sign in wooden carrying case. a, OBVERSE: Knights Templar sign, likely handmade, in shape of cross and crown with red and white electric light bulbs decorating front. Wooden cross, painted red, has 14 oblong, red ceramic-coated glass bulbs set into arms and shaft; gold crown across lower portion of longer shaft is also wooden and features 12 oblong, white ceramic-coated glass bulbs set in two rows (top row with 5, bottom row with 7) along its front, as well as 5 clear, colorless round "gems" (likely paste) set into 5 decorative points along top. a, REVERSE: White paint covers entire back; at center of cross, there is a round, silver-colored metal loop attached for hanging; on PL arm, a rectangular brass plaque is attached that features the stamped, black text, "Presented to / Malden Assembly No. 62 S.O.O.B. / May 2, 1973 / In Memory of / Mrs. Robert L. Doney, P.P. / Gift of / Mrs. Etrebil A. Schaub, P.P. / Baltimore Assembly No. 222, / Baltimore, Md.". Hanging off back of crown on PR side is a white plastic-coated electric cord (6" long) with a white plastic plug at its end. b: White plastic-coated extension cord (appears to be approx. 20' in length) has white-painted plastic plug with two prongs at one end, and dome-shaped, white-painted plastic (possibly rubber) connector at other end; on its face are two rectangular holes, two silver screws, and the raised text, "EAGLE - U.S.A. / 15 A 125V". Cord stores in handmade box (d) by wrapping around two silver metal hooks that are screwed to two affixed square wooden bases. c: Four extra bulbs in original packaging, two white and two red. Cardboard packaging has pink and white outer coating; on front, in white, "[GE logo] / BULBS" (on PR corner); "GENERAL [GE logo] ELECTRIC / INDOOR" (at center); "4 BULBS / 65₵" (on PL corner). On reverse, white background with pink text, "GENERAL [GE logo] ELECTRIC / C7 INDOOR / CHRISTMAS LAMPS / Ceramic coatings will not fade, chip, peel, or blister. Can be used outdoors / in weatherproof equipment. Fit all candelabra screw socket sets. Pre-tested / to light -- no need to test them. When one lamp eventually goes out, others / remain lighted. / General Electric Co., Nela Park, Cleveland, Ohio 44112 / MCG / 743P-65 / Carton Pat. #2,851,158 Made in U.S.A.". On top, two white GE logos; on bottom in white, "C7 INDOOR / GENERAL [GE logo] ELECTRIC". Stored within small brown paper bag inside wooden carrying box. d: Custom-made wooden carrying case has silver-colored metal handle and two latches at one side, and two silver-colored metal hinges on the other. Exterior stained and varnished; interior untreated and features four attached wooden blocks to receive each end of cross. Each has piece of green foam set into it for padding. Piece that receives top of cross has bar over top of it so cross stays in place. Piece that receives bottom has silver-colored metal swing bar set into it that can be latched over a screw at one end; on this, an arrow is drawn in black ink, and a white piece of paper is attached which bears the black typed text: "Move latch in direction of Arrow / Lift and swing back to clear cross".
