Scottish Rite Masonic Museum of Our National Heritage American Freedom Award Issued to Ellice McDonald, Jr. OBVERSE: Gold-colored metal (possibly gold-plated bronze) medal is circular and features raised central design of Scottish Rite emblem (double-headed eagle clutching sword with banner underneath reading, "SPES MEA IN DEO EST"; delta with "32°" inside) over waving American flag with stars oriented to PR of eagle. Above design is the text, "AMERICAN / FREEDOM / AWARD", and surrounding it, in an arc, on lower portion of medal, "SCOTTISH RITE MASONIC MUSEUM OF OUR NATIONAL HERITAGE". Raised rim around edge. REVERSE: Carved across center is the text, "ELLICE McDONALD, JR., 32°".
