Masonic Shrine Belt Buckle. OBVERSE: Circular belt buckle composed of cast silver-colored metal with red and white enamel infill. Central raised design of Shrine emblem--scimitar, sphinx head, double tiger claws, and star--features panels of white enamel inlay on tips of claws that have a ridged pattern along border at upper end. Red enamel infill forms background to raised central design. REVERSE: Silver-colored, cast metal backing has fine grid-like texture all over. A long, narrow rectangular panel, with "700" stamped on its PR side and a triangle on its PL side, is soldered to the center; at PL end, it has a mounded portion with a trapezoidal shape out of which extends a 3/8" cylindrical bar which is angled inward, to hook into holes on belt; at PR end, it has a hollow cylinder with a seam along the top soldered to it perpendicularly, which holds a loop of metal (with a straight outer edge and bent sides) for threading belt through.
