Color photograph showing a group of members of the Masonic Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America. The women are posed in six rows. Almost all wear brown pants and vests with yellow shirts or blouses and white fezzes with red tassels. Many wear badges and beaded necklaces. The woman in the center of the front row holds a sign reading, "Ladies Oriental Shrine / of North America, Inc. / 69th Annual Grand Council Session / May 15-20, 1983 Cavalier Hotel / Zulekia [?] Court No. 35 Virginia Beach, VA."


The Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America (LOSNA) was founded in 1903. It is not an auxiliary of the Shrine, but its own distinct organization. The Grand Council was organized in 1914. Members must be related to a Master Mason or Shriner by birth, marriage or adoption.
