Pythian Sisters applique quilt. White front and backing. Appliqued Pythian Sisters emblem in center: gold crown with crossed sword and wand behind, triangle at each side (light blue and red) and at bottom (pale yellow), initials around central emblem in gold "P F L E." Appliqued gold lettering above emblem reads "To / Geri / SC," and below the emblem reads "From / Grand Temple / Maritime Provinces / Aug. 1989." Quilted in diagonal lines that meet at the center of the quilt to form a V on each side. Quilted lines are approximately two inches apart. Hand-quilted at seven stitches per inch. Applied white binding. Medium batting.
