Rectangular engraving or book plate. Symbol of an open book at top under the words, "Lapis aldus virtutis." Next is a line of text reading, "By Order of Worthl. Mark Master." The center is a compass with a square and circle inside. Around the outer band of the compass are the letters, "HTWSSTKS." Around the inner square it reads, "St. John's Lodge Groton Massachusetts." Reverse blank.
