Masonic Knights Templar Chapeau-de-bras. EXTERIOR: Chapeau-de-bras composed of black silk plush (likely) throughout its body. 2-7/8"-wide black silk bow at center front has rectangular shape; from this point, black ostrich feathers run along top of hat and down back side to extend three inches from back end of hat. PR side decorated with central 4"-diameter black silk floret and 2"-wide openwork black silk trim applied under it in a V shape. INTERIOR: Red silk satin lining features central manufacturer's stamp in gold ink: "MADE BY, / T. D. Gard / Worcester / Mass.". Along sides, red silk is pleated. Black leather sweatband along rim features small off-white silk bow at rear seam.
