M. / Masonic Building March 14, 1905 / Organized as Fayette Lodge, 1796 / Doric Lodge, 1826 / Quinebaug Lodge, 1860". Under flap is stamped "Made by Miss Rose Lipp / 136 Boylston St., Boston." Regalia maker Rose Lipp manufactured this souvenir commemorating the dedication of the Quinebaug Lodge Rooms in Southbridge, Massachusetts. Lipp straddled the gender boundaries of the regalia industry. She worked in the traditionally female realm of sewing and clothing construction and, though not a Freemason, was acknowledged “as an authority on correctness of design” of Masonic regalia.
