a: OBVERSE: Masonic Shrine Aleppo Temple membership jewel. Gold-tone rectangular pin at top with horizontal pin back. Front of pin is a banner shape with black outline. Below this is a scimitar shape with a white shield at center. The shield bears a red fez. Hanging from the pin is a green, yellow and red striped grosgrain ribbon. Suspended from the ribbon is a gold-tone medallion. The medallion is shaped by three pairs of scimitars along sides. Their handles cross in the middle with a white tiger's claw and a red star. At top, to left and right, are black and white lotus flowers. A round piece is applied to the center. It has a blue background with gold stars and gold lettering, "Boston." On top of this are gold-tone buildings (Old North Church and Faneuil Hall). This round piece has a red border with gold-tone lettering, "A.A.O.N.M.S. Aleppo Temple." a: REVERSE: Pin clasp with swivel hinge on top bar. Black button connecting folded ends of ribbon. Maker's mark stamp at bottom of hanging jewel: "ROBBINS CO. / ATTLEBORO". b: Rectangular red leather case with hinged lid. Metal clasp at front center. The case is lined with cream silk.
