Masonic Royal Arch York Rite Eminent Prior Cape. Black velvet cape, likely synthetic, hangs to knee length. Trimmed with gold-colored metallic thread in swirling pattern along opening and around hem. Plain round neckline is trimmed with white cording, likely synthetic, which hangs down to slightly below hemline when untied and has tassels on either end. Eight-inch square Maltese cross sewn onto PL chest is of off-white velvet, likely cotton; it is embroidered with squiggly lines of white thread, likely synthetic, and trimmed with same white thread in looping pattern. Lining is of black cotton. Two labels are sewn in at back neckline: upper one is black and bears yellow embroidered text, "THE HENDERSON AMES CO. KALAMAZOO MICH / MILITARY AND SOCIETY GOODS"; lower one is white with "Eminent Prior" handwritten, in cursive, in brownish ink.
