As a mark of appreciation, when a lodge master completed his term, he was often presented with a Past Master’s jewel indicating his status as a former leader of the organization. The members of a Masonic lodge in Concord, Massachusetts, gave a pair of gold jewels to a father and son, Alexander R. (1878-1957) and Robert (1916-2001) MacLeod, both of whom were Masters of Corinthian Lodge. Alexander received this jewel in 1930. See the record for 90.8.5 for Robert MacLeod's jewel.
