Three Masonic Candlestands; "Lesser Lights"; matching floor candlestands of turned, dark stained wood with vasiform shafts and triple-stepped bases; Sheffield plated silver bobeches; original sketch of construction penciled on bottom of one base.


The candlestands were used in St. John's Lodge No. I, A.F. & A,M, in Newport, Rhode Island. The set constitutes the "Three Lights in Masonry," as used in the Lodge and placed east, west and south of the altar.
